The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an Aircraft Structural Fitter to join the AH-64 Apache sustainment and support team.
Program overview
The AH-64E Apache program provides advanced attack helicopter capability to the Australian Defence Force, enabling precision strike, armed reconnaissance and close air support. This program sustains a critical combat capability, supports interoperability with coalition partners, and underpins Australia’s land and joint operations.

What you’ll get to do
- Be an integral part of the Apache capability.
- Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with OHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct aircraft structural repairs in support of routine and phase servicing requirements.
- Incorporate as directed System Program Office (SPO) mandated/approved Modifications, Special Technical Instructions (STI's) and Deviations.
- Ensure all personnel assigned to maintenance tasks are qualified and certified IAW 1 Avn Regt trade authorisation record.
- Ensuring that all maintenance activities are incorporated IAW approved processes and procedures.
- Provide direction and instructions to assist in the development of technicians.
- Contribute to improvements in the performance of the team (and the organisation generally) by proposing solutions to problems and more effective methods of work.
Who we’re looking for
- Holder of an iMMA (interim Military Maintenance Authority).
- Cert IV (or equivalent) qualified in Aircraft Structures with a minimum of two years current experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s – Structural.
- Composite Specialist Course) or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years of military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance / modification operating procedures and documentation.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team.
- Ability to successfully interact with co‑workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit and organisational goals.
- Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
- Sound knowledge of aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance, modification and planning documentation.
- Working at Heights qualification.
