About The Role

The Regional Permits Officer assesses and processes Memorandums of Authorisation (MOAs) for temporary traffic management, ensuring applications meet legislation, policies, standards and service timeframes. The role considers planned events and disruptions, including their individual and cumulative impacts on the transport network.

The role provides traffic and transport management advice, recommends actions to minimise disruption, responds to enquiries and supports traffic management outcomes for projects and worksites. It builds strong stakeholder relationships, using sound judgement, negotiation and influence to achieve safe, practical outcomes while maintaining the protected and efficient operation of the road network.

You’re Someone Who

- Applies sound judgement to assess issues, follow legislation and procedures, and make timely, considered decisions.
- Is organised and reliable, prioritising tasks effectively, following Traffic Management Plans and maintaining accurate records.
- Communicates clearly and keeps customers and stakeholders informed, providing timely, accurate and practical advice.




- Builds positive working relationships and collaborates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve safe and successful outcomes.
- Is adaptable and customer-focused, responding to changing priorities while maintaining high-quality service and considering the impact on the community.

Qualifications And Experience

You’ll bring:

- Traffic Management Designer Qualifications (Desirable)
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Civil/Transport engineering or relevant experience (Desirable)
