We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Alumni Relations Officer to nurture and grow our alumni community. Reporting to the Heads of School, you will build meaningful relationships with former students, coordinate communications and events, and support initiatives that strengthen alumni engagement with the school. This role is part-time, working 1 day per week, with attendance required at occasional evening and weekend events. The role involves working across multiple school campuses, including Cherrybrook, Dural, and Orchard Hills, as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver alumni communications, including newsletters, website content and social media updates.
- Maintain alumni records and databases, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with privacy requirements.
- Coordinate alumni events such as reunions, networking opportunities and mentoring initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with alumni, volunteers and the broader school community.
- Encourage alumni involvement in school events, student programs and community initiatives.
- Track engagement activities and provide reporting to the Head of School.
- Support the school's mission and ethos through positive community engagement.
About You
You will have:
- Experience in communications, marketing, events, community engagement or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organisational and administrative abilities.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building relationships.
- Confidence using databases, social media platforms and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- A high level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience in a school or education environment.
- Experience with alumni engagement, fundraising or community-building initiatives.
- Event coordination experience.
The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a current NSW Working with Children Check and be eligible to work in Australia without visa restrictions.
