AST is an Industrial supplies / Sharpening business, servicing customers in SEQ/Northern rivers for the last 30+ years. As we continue to grow, we are looking for Experienced Salespeople / Account Managers who are invested in delivering exceptional customer service. In your role you will predominantly be on the road, being accountable for delivering solutions to existing and new customers in your respective region. Your ability to identify and convert current business opportunities whilst building strong and effective working relationships will be integral to your success.

This role is suited to a person with steel fabrication experience, a sound understanding of consumable items such as welding / safety / abrasives etc.

About you:

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong customer focus combined with confidence, initiative, enthusiasm, ambition, a willingness to learn, along with:

- Key account management / BDM / sales experience

- Have excellent communication and organisational skills

- Will be able to demonstrate solid sales and closing techniques





- Capable of meeting sales based KPI’s

- A team player who will "jump in" and help the team to meet its objectives

- Be well organised

- Have moderate computer skills

- Be able to handle a fast-paced high-volume environment

- Reflect as upbeat, positive, and resilient

Must Haves:

- Experience in selling industrial consumables in particular welding products

- Experienced and competent in using a CRM software

- A strong desire to earn good commissions
