About the Role
We are seeking a polished, reliable and customer-focused Retail Assistant who is genuinely interested in developing a long-term career in luxury menswear.

This is a varied and practical retail position. While an interest in fashion and styling is important, the role also involves the everyday disciplines required to operate a premium boutique successfully.

You will be expected to learn the store’s established procedures, listen carefully to instructions and apply feedback consistently. As you demonstrate reliability, accuracy and initiative, you will progressively develop your knowledge of menswear, garment fitting, alterations, tailoring and personalised customer service.

The successful candidate will initially commence on a casual basis with full-time hours. Subject to performance and approval, there may be an opportunity to progress into a permanent full-time salaried position with increased responsibility.

What You’ll Be Doing

Customer Service and Sales

- Welcome customers and provide attentive, skilled service
- Develop the confidence to approach and engage customers appropriately
- Listen carefully and identify each customer’s individual needs
- Assist with garment selection, styling and outfit coordination
- Build genuine relationships that encourage customer loyalty and repeat business




- Learn how to confidently present and recommend premium products
- Process sales and customer transactions accurately

Boutique Operations

- Keep the store, displays and stock areas clean, organised and presentable, including garment folding, stock presentation and replenishment
- Maintain accurate customer, transaction and alteration records
- Follow established store procedures and complete routine tasks consistently

Menswear, Fitting and Alterations

- Develop knowledge of premium menswear brands, garments and fabrics
- Learn and assist with professional fitting and tailoring measurement techniques
- Accurately record alterations and customer details
- Progressively build the knowledge required to become a trusted menswear adviser

Training and Expectations
On-the-job training will be provided.

To succeed, you must be comfortable working with experienced professionals who maintain high standards and provide direct feedback when tasks need to be corrected or improved.

Asking questions and seeking improvement is encouraged. You will also be expected to:

- Follow direction from senior team members
- Demonstrate steady improvement in accuracy, product knowledge and customer service
- Remain calm, respectful and skilled during busy or challenging situations

Roster and Hours
This is a full-time position offering 40.5 hours per week. The shop is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday.

Employees receive a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each working day. Days off will be Sunday and one weekday.

Applicants must be available to work the full advertised hours, including Saturdays.

Previous fashion or premium retail experience will be highly regarded but is not essential. Candidates from hospitality, customer service or other presentation-focused environments are also encouraged to apply.
