The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Portfolio Manager to join our commercial cleaning division. This full-time role offers an attractive salary package and the chance to be part of a supportive, high-performing team culture focused on operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
As a Portfolio Manager, your role will focus on managing and supporting your team members and portfolio of client sites. Your responsibilities include:
- Completing regular site-based quality control inspections and audits across your portfolio to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Maintaining and managing relationships with clients and on-site contacts.
- Achieving and exceeding your portfolio performance KPIs.
- Facilitating ongoing training and toolbox sessions to reinforce safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Ensuring any items requiring rectification are promptly addressed, with full communication and follow-up.
- Quoting and managing ad-hoc work while ensuring successful delivery of routine and ad-hoc services.
- Identifying opportunities for value-add services and additional service recharge opportunities.
- Managing timesheets and ensuring accurate payroll submissions.
- Conducting regular physical visits to all sites to inspect staff, perform random compliance spot checks, and verify staff are working safely, compliantly, and to quality standards.
- Responding promptly and following correct procedures for incident reporting, including completing incident reports.
- Acting as the first point of contact for client queries, additional requests, or requests for rectification.
Skills and Expertise
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in commercial cleaning industry
- Proven track record of managing multi-site accounts and portfolios.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and lead staff effectively while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Up-to-date strong understanding of cleaning procedures, WHS, Compliance, and cleaning equipment/machinery.
- Experience in digital rostering and performance management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to train staff when required.
- Flexibility in start times to achieve optimal results for clients.
- Intermediate computer and smartphone skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Digital Rostering Systems).
- Dependable, highly organised, and self-motivated.
- Own car and current driver’s licence.
