What you'll be doing

The Redesign and Change Manager will be part of the SCHN Strategy and Innovation Directorate (DSI). DSI work with staff across the organisation at all levels to build capacity and deliver on the Network’s ambitious transformation strategy. Drawing on expertise in a range of redesign and change management methodologies, the Redesign and Change Manager assumes a leadership role and provides expert advice on redesign and change management matters, strategies and solutions.

This position will lead a range of Network wide strategic and operational initiatives to bring about new ways of organising people, processes and resources that achieves greater scale, effectiveness, sustainability and efficiency. It will drive faster adoption of change, business process improvement, benefits realisation and sustained business outcomes through effective stakeholder management.

The Redesign and Change Manager will manage and coordinate designated key programs and projects, developing and implementing project management plans to ensure the success of the project and providing specialist advice as required. The position is also responsible for applying expert skills, knowledge and experience to investigate and facilitate solutions to system problems, improving quality,



productivity and efficiency in alignment with the SCHN’s strategic priorities.

Note that the role has a Network remit and as such may be located at any location across the SCHN.

1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in change management in health or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
2. Demonstrated well-developed understanding of change management and quality improvement methodologies and experience in leading change management and business process improvement.
3. Demonstrated experience in applying a structured change management approach and methodology, developing change management strategies based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
4. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
5. Demonstrated experience managing and overseeing/managing project delivery, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, reporting, issue and risk management and managing budgets.
6. Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in a project team environment within a complex organisation influencing others to move toward a common vision or goal.
7. Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication, consultation and negotiation skills necessary to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
8. Current unrestricted driver’s licence which is valid in NSW (Class C licence or equivalent) and ability to travel as required.
