Where you'll be working:
The Surgical Services unit at John Hunter Hospital plays a vital role in our healthcare system, including a range of administrative and support functions crucial for the efficient operation of Surgical Services. This position is based on our dynamic and busy General Surgical Ward J3, where you will be working alongside our team of nurses, doctors, allied Health Staff and administration. You will be working Monday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, job sharing with our other wonderful CSO.

- Healthroster
- Salary and Wages
- WHS Reports
- iProcurement
- StaffLink (checking leave and staff contracts)
- ChemAlert
- My Health Learning (submitting in-services and pulling staff reports)
- Safety walks
- AFM
- Filing
- Single Digital Patient Record and relevant reports
- Cleaning storerooms
- Replacing staffing
Hours of work:
Applicants must be available to work Monday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

How you'll be supported:
The successful applicant will be well supported from day one. They will receive a comprehensive orientation to the ward from our Nurse Unit Manager, Lisa, followed by a structured two-week training program alongside one of our experienced Clinical Support Officers within Surgical Services. This hands-on training is designed to provide a smooth transition into the role and build confidence across all aspects of the position.
In addition to face-to-face mentoring, employees will complete relevant online learning and have ongoing access to support from a friendly, knowledgeable team who are always willing to answer questions and assist one another. There are also ongoing education and career development opportunities available, supporting continuous learning and professional growth within the organisation.
