About the role

West Coast Steel is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team on a casual basis to assist with completing some large projects over the next 8-12 weeks.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on some large scale works in our Malaga workshop. We are looking for someone who can slot into our workflow seamlessly

Key responsibilities

- Read and interpret shop drawings and work instructions accurately

- Fabricating assemblies, checking your own work and welding out full assemblies

- Conduct quality inspections and tests on completed work to ensure compliance and tolerances

- Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and procedures

- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification

- Assist with loading, unloading, and positioning of materials and components as required

What we're looking for

- Formal qualifications or apprenticeship in Boilermaking or a related trade

- Proven experience working as a Boilermaker in a commercial or industrial setting

- Proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication processes

- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship





- Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to the trade

- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying conditions and at heights when necessary

- Robust communication and teamwork skills

- Relevant certifications such as welding tickets or boilermaking credentials are advantageous

- Experience with pressure vessel construction and certification requirements is highly valued
