About the role

Style Council Hair Collective is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team in Port Kennedy, WA. This is a part-time or full time position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the professional standards our clients expect. As a Senior Hair Stylist, you will be a key member of our salon, providing exceptional hair services and mentoring junior stylists. This role is perfect for experienced professionals looking to maintain a work-life balance whilst continuing to deliver outstanding results and contributing to the creative culture of our salon.

What you'll be doing

- Providing high-quality hair cutting, colouring, styling and treatment services to a diverse clientele

- Consulting with clients to understand their requirements and recommending appropriate hair solutions and treatments

- Maintaining detailed client records and preferences to ensure consistent service excellence

- Mentoring and supporting junior stylists, providing guidance on techniques and client care

- Ensuring the salon workspace remains clean, hygienic and well-organised at all times

- Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat bookings

- Staying current with industry trends, techniques and products to deliver contemporary styling solutions

- Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting the overall success of the salon

What we're looking for

- A recognised qualification in hairdressing or equivalent industry-recognised training

- Minimum of 5 years' professional experience as a hair stylist in a salon environment

- Advanced technical skills in cutting, colouring, styling and chemical treatments

- Proven ability to build rapport with clients and deliver personalised service

- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff members





- A current knowledge of contemporary hair trends and styling techniques

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently

- A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and professional conduct

- Experience in a busy salon environment is highly desirable
