About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Cook to join the WA TAVERN GROUP PTY LTD team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment where you will prepare and cook high-quality meals for our valued customers. Based at our Kwinana Town Centre venue, you will be part of a collaborative kitchen team dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. This casual position offers flexibility whilst providing the opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a professional hospitality setting.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with our menu specifications and quality standards

- Ensuring all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, meeting both health and safety regulations

- Managing food preparation stations and maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen

- Following recipes and cooking techniques whilst maintaining consistency in portion sizes and presentation

- Working efficiently during peak service times to ensure timely delivery of meals to customers

- Liaising with front-of-house staff to ensure customer satisfaction and special dietary requirements are met

- Maintaining stock levels and alerting management when supplies need replenishing

- Adhering to food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards at all times

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Cook in a hospitality or commercial kitchen setting

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, including food handling certifications where applicable

- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and cooking techniques

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask during busy service periods





- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

- A passion for food preparation and delivering quality dishes

- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work varied shift patterns including evenings and weekends

- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent qualification is preferred
