Job Description
Lead a team. Shape a culture. Change patients' lives.
At AbbVie, our work has a direct impact on patients facing some of the most challenging health conditions. As we continue to grow our Oncology portfolio, we're seeking an inspiring people leader, as the National Sales Lead, who is passionate about building high-performing teams, developing talent, and helping individuals achieve their best.
This is not a role for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. This is a highly visible national leadership position where you'll spend time in the field coaching, developing and empowering a talented team while partnering across the business to deliver meaningful outcomes for healthcare professionals and patients across Australia. This is an opportunity to leave a lasting leadership legacy while contributing to one of the most exciting and creative areas in healthcare.

- Lead and inspire a high-performing National Sales Team by building capability, coaching individuals and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Translate Brand and Marketing strategies into clear, customer-centric field plans that deliver strong commercial outcomes across the Oncology portfolio.
- Balance portfolio priorities with evolving business needs,
enabling agile resource allocation and execution to maximise impact.
- Partner with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Corporate Affairs and other cross-functional teams to deliver integrated customer engagement and business outcomes.
- Work with the Business Unit Manager to set, monitor and optimise field performance, ensuring focus on the highest-value opportunities.
- Build team capability through coaching, continuous feedback and the Challenger model to strengthen customer engagement and in-field effectiveness.
- Lead strategic customer engagement and business development initiatives to drive sustainable portfolio growth.
- Provide end-to-end people leadership, including recruitment, performance, capability development, succession planning and engagement.
- Manage the National Sales budget and lead strategic projects to deliver agreed business objectives efficiently and effectively.
- Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per AbbVie’s policies and procedures.
- Proactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs, adhere to policies and promote a safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to AbbVie’s codes of conduct and compliance processes, including timely training and maintaining ethics and integrity.
- Other ad hoc duties such as administrative duties, as requested.
