The Forklift Operator position at our Kingston branch plays a critical role in the safe movement, loading, unloading and organisation of hire equipment across the yard.

This position is responsible for operating the forklift and is the primary resource for loading and unloading our portable buildings, ensuring customer deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll help ensure equipment is ready for customers while maintaining a safe and efficient worksite.

As part of the role, you will:

- Safely load and unload portable buildings, equipment and assets using a forklift.
- Coordinate customer deliveries and collections, ensuring all loading activities are completed safely and efficiently.
- Conduct load restraint checks and ensure equipment is transported safely.
- Prepare outgoing equipment and receive returned equipment in line with branch processes.
- Maintain a clean,



organised and secure yard setting.
- Perform general yard duties, including equipment cleaning and presentation.
- Work closely with customers, drivers and branch team members to support daily operations.

What you'll bring to the role

Along with previous experience in a forklift, logistics, transport or yard environment, you'll have:

- Current Forklift Licence (LF) and Driver's Licence (essential)
- Demonstrated experience loading and unloading large or bulky equipment safely
- Knowledge of load restraint and safe loading/unloading practices
- A strong commitment to safety and following procedures
- Ability to work in an outdoor yard environment and undertake manual handling tasks
- A reliable, team-focused attitude and strong work ethic
