Based in a vibrant Sydney studio, you will contribute to—and lead—a diverse range of exciting projects, including pubs, restaurants, bars and club spaces.
Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and the wider design team, you will be responsible for driving projects from initial concept through to delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer who combines creative vision with strong technical knowledge, project leadership and a high level of attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing

1. Leading the design direction of hospitality and commercial interior projects from concept through to completion
2. Building robust relationships with clients and translating their commercial objectives, brand identity and design aspirations into compelling design solutions
3. Developing innovative concepts, spatial plans, mood boards, material palettes and detailed design presentations
4. Preparing and reviewing comprehensive design documentation, schedules, specifications and construction details
5. Producing and overseeing high-quality technical drawings using AutoCAD
6. Selecting, specifying and sourcing furniture, fixtures, fittings, finishes and materials in line with the project vision, budget and performance requirements
7. Coordinating with architects, consultants, suppliers, contractors and trades to ensure the successful delivery of projects
8. Attending site meetings, conducting inspections and resolving design and documentation issues during construction
9. Presenting design concepts, progress updates and project outcomes confidently to clients and stakeholders
10. Managing project priorities, timelines, budgets and deliverables across multiple projects
11. Reviewing the work of junior and mid-level designers to ensure quality, consistency and alignment with project objectives
12. Providing leadership,



guidance and mentorship to junior members of the design team
13. Contributing to studio standards, processes and the continued development of the company’s creative work
14. Staying informed about emerging hospitality trends, materials, technologies, building codes, accessibility requirements and sustainability principles

What we’re looking for

1. A minimum of 8+ years’ professional experience as an Interior Designer, preferably within hospitality.
2. A strong portfolio demonstrating creative design thinking, technical expertise and successfully delivered projects
3. Proven experience leading projects from briefing and concept design through to documentation, construction and completion
4. Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD, including technical drawing, detailing and construction documentation
5. Strong proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with additional 3D modelling, rendering or presentation software is highly regarded
6. In-depth knowledge of interior construction, materials, joinery, furniture, fixtures, finishes and detailing
7. Sound knowledge of relevant Australian building codes, regulations, accessibility standards and approval processes
8. An understanding of project budgets, procurement processes, consultant coordination and construction administration
9. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage with clients and stakeholders at a senior level
10. Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor, support and motivate other designers
11. The ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment
12. A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline
13. A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach, with a high level of accountability and attention to detail
