About the role

We are seeking a FULL TIME Junior Accountant to join our highly regarded accounting firm in Bankstown. This is an opportunity to jump start your career in the exciting world of taxation and accounting.

This is what you will be doing

- Assisting with the preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Installment Activity statements (IAS)

- Working with software such as XERO, MYOB, and other programs

- Exposure to Single Touch Payroll (STP) tasks, including superannuation compliance

- Liaising with clients and external bodies (Such as ATO, ASIC, ABR, ICARE, etc)

- Speaking with clients to gather information and understand their needs

- Working with your accounting team

- Developing your skills in accounting and taxation

- We want you to succeed so "Progression" is available into assisting with the preparation of taxation returns and financial statements for individual and business clients

- Someone that has a strong eye for detail

- Excellent communication to interact with clients

- Experience in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications





- A keen interest in taxation and a willingness to learn and grow within the accounting industry
