The Senior Bid Manager is responsible for leading major, high-value tenders, proposals, and EOI submissions to secure recent business and drive growth. This role involves developing and executing "win strategies," shaping the commercial and technical offer, and negotiating contract terms for electrical infrastructure projects including grid connection substations and overhead lines, renewable Balance of Plant (BOP) for Wind and battery energy storage solutions (BESS) projects and other high voltage solutions.

To work closely with the technical, commercial and procurement departments within Green Grid Connect and have a good understanding of the company's global capabilities and focus areas.

- Review and interpret tender documentation to ensure full alignment with technical and commercial requirements.

- Plan and manage the end-to-end tender process, ensuring compliance, on-time, and cost-effective submissions.

- Coordinate preliminary engineering inputs, including equipment selection, technology strategy, and site-specific considerations.

- Collaborate with legal and construction teams to finalise contract terms, schedules, and risk allocations.

- Engage with clients, subcontractors,



and suppliers to obtain pricing, resolve queries, and evaluate proposals.

- Prepare comprehensive tenders covering budget, methodology, programme, risks, and execution strategy, and lead contract negotiations through to financial close out (BOP, EPC & O&M;).

- Coordination with the legal and commercial teams to complete the mark-up of the contract schedules.

- Engagement with subcontractors and suppliers to get specific quotes for the different projects, clarification of their queries, and assessment of their offers once received.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science preferred

- Knowledge and experience in the renewables industry and energy infrastructure in Australia

- English

- Experience in bidding and business development.

- Min 3 year’s relevant work experience within renewables and/or high voltage electrical infrastructure e industry.

- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, email.

- Proficient skills in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software such as Dynamics 365 or Salesforce.
