About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dry Fire Electrical Charge Hand to join our growing team working on a high-profile infrastructure development spanning from St Marys to the new Western Sydney Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, testing and commissioning of dry fire systems including fire detection, and EWIS. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team, helping to ensure the successful and compliant execution of fire systems across a multi-site environment.

Key responsibilities

- Install and terminate fire detection and EWIS systems in accordance with Australian Standards (AS 1670 etc.) and project specifications.

- Conduct system testing, commissioning, and fault-finding for various dry fire and emergency warning systems.

- Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

- Ensure all works comply with current electrical and fire industry regulations, as well as client and site-specific safety requirements.

- Coordinate a small team of other technicians.

- Coordinate and liaise with the project supervisor and project manager.

- Coordinate with other trades and project stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of systems.

- Accurately document installation, commissioning, and service activities including test results and compliance checklists.

- Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site inductions.

About you

- NSW Electrical Licence (preferred)

- Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical and/or dry fire system installation and commissioning,



particularly in infrastructure or large-scale construction environments.

- Sound knowledge of fire detection systems, EWIS, and interface with building services (e.g. BMS, security, access control).

- Experience working on Tier One construction or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

- Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards (AS 1670 series etc).

- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

- White Card and current driver's licence.

- Experience with large government or transport infrastructure projects, EWP, Working at Heights, and Confined Space certifications are desirable.
