Community Projects
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to help deliver our exciting Community Infrastructure program of work. You will manage projects from start to finish. This includes initiation, planning, execution, and completion. Your focus will be on boosting local life through Community & Recreation capital works projects. In this role, you will lead the delivery of vital public infrastructure that directly shapes our growing community. You will take charge of diverse builds including new public amenities, modern sports fields, vibrant playgrounds, and essential park furniture.

Civil Projects
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Civil Projects team. You will be responsible for the project management of Council’s civil capital works projects, from initiation through planning, execution and completion, as well as balancing the management of consultants and contractors performing works on behalf of Council. You’ll be self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously whilst operating in accordance with relevant legislation and industry standards. Projects will include a mix of roads and drainage infrastructure across our beautiful area.
The Team
You’ll be joining our Capital Works Team; a bunch of high achievers who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Council’s Capital Works program is delivered through 3 teams in Capital Works - Civil Projects & Road Maintenance Council Contract (RMCC), Surveying and Civil Design. This role sits predominantly in the Civil Projects & RMCC team, working on a wide range of projects varying across a range of roads and drainage infrastructure in the beautiful Port Stephens local government area.

What we offer
- Both roles are temporary full-time for 2 years, working 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement
- Base Salary Range: $97,160 - $114,303 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% Superannuation + Motor Vehicle Allowance + Civil Liability Allowance + Retention Allowance
- Total Remuneration Package Range: $137,646 - $157,446
- You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

- Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, construction or related discipline and/or significant industry experience
- Extensive experience in the project and contractor management of major projects
- Possess or the ability to obtain accreditations and other skills as required by best industry practice or legislation to discharge the role such as current Driver’s licence and Workcover General Construction Induction accreditations
