Armidale Regional Council is seeking a motivated Drainage Operator to join our Transport team, based in Guyra.

In this hands-on role, you'll help maintain, repair and construct drainage infrastructure across the region, operating plant and equipment while working alongside a dedicated team. If you enjoy practical outdoor work, have a strong focus on safety, and take pride in delivering essential infrastructure that supports the community, we'd like to hear from you.

About you

You will bring:

- Experience in drainage, civil construction, plumbing, or related construction works.
- The ability to operate plant and equipment such as excavators, loaders and backhoes.
- The ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and follow work instructions.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to maintaining essential drainage infrastructure across the region.

What you’ll get

- $1,272 per week + super, based on a 38-hour week
- Permanent full-time position
- 9-day fortnight (every second Friday off)
- Varied outdoor work with no two days the same.
