Do work that matters

As a Relationship Executive, you will manage and grow an established portfolio of diversified commercial banking clients across Townsville and the surrounding region.

You will take the time to understand your clients, their businesses, and their ambitions, using your relationship management experience, commercial insight and our broad range of products and services to help them move forward.

Alongside delivering an excellent experience for your existing clients, you will identify new opportunities, build robust referral networks, and help grow CommBank’s presence across the local market.

We know that great bankers bring different strengths and experiences. If you have strong connections within a particular industry or see an opportunity to build deeper capability in a key sector, we will support you to develop that focus.

This is an opportunity to bring your networks, ideas and personal style to the role and genuinely make it your own. You will build trusted, long-term client relationships, manage and grow your portfolio, and use your local networks and referral partners to pursue new-to-bank opportunities. You will develop a strong understanding of complex client needs, connecting clients with the right product and specialist teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Your commercial banking experience will also enable you to originate, structure, negotiate and execute lending solutions, supported by sound credit judgement and financial analysis.

- Have experience managing and growing a portfolio of business or commercial banking clients and can confidently identify and convert new opportunities
- Build genuine relationships, bring strong commercial acumen and understand financial statements, cash flow, and the drivers of business performance
- Can assess credit and structure commercial lending solutions, while working collaboratively with credit, product, and specialist partners
- Are connected within the Townsville business community or motivated to build a strong local presence
