About the Opportunity
We are seeking customer‐focused Service Officers (AO3) to join an established team in Ipswich.
In this role, you will be the frontline voice assisting customers via inbound calls and written correspondence.
Rather than traditional collections, this position focuses on active listening, empathy, and working collaboratively with members of the public to negotiate practical, manageable solutions within legislative frameworks.
What You'll Be Doing
Customer Support: Handle inbound phone enquiries professionally, providing clear guidance on account resolution and payment options.
Problem Solving & Negotiation: De‐escalate sensitive customer situations using sound judgement, empathy, and active listening.
System Management: Navigate multiple digital databases and software platforms simultaneously to record case notes accurately.
Prioritisation:



Balance call handling with administrative follow‐ups in a dynamic contact centre setting.
What We're Looking For
Communication & Empathy: A natural talent for active listening and managing sensitive conversations with calm, qualified restraint.
Tech Savvy: Ability to quickly adapt to multiple software systems and enter accurate data in real time.
Reliability & Commitment: Availability to attend a comprehensive, full‐time 4-week initial onboarding program on‐site.
Background: Experience in contact centres, customer service, dispute resolution, or recoveries is advantageous but not required.
Full training is provided!
Contract & Application Details
Engagement: Initial 6‐month contract (with an initial 4‐week probationary assessment period).
Location: Fully on‐site in Ipswich.
