Job Description
Role: Trainee Educator
Location: Lennox Head, NSW
Centre: Goodstart Lennox Head
Employment Type: Full Time / Fixed Term (18 months)
Pay: $***** per hour + super + discounts
Receive fee‐free training – Goodstart will cover all related RTO enrolment and training fees

Traineeship Program at Goodstart Early Learning
As a Trainee Educator, you will be dedicated to giving children the best possible start to their school journey, with support from the Centre Leadership Team, teachers, and educators to build your career while working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.

You Will Achieve This By
Maintaining a safe environment for children, families, and team members
Complying with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart policies, procedures and requirements
Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with children and families
Actively contributing to the education program in the room and the centre team
Supporting a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement
Contributing to a professional and positive work culture
Eligibility
To be eligible for a traineeship, you must not hold a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification completed outside of secondary school in the last seven years.
Applicants who have completed a school‐based certificate other than in childcare will still be eligible.
In Addition, You Must Have
The willingness and motivation to study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care
A permanent right to work in Australia
Strong communication skills
Good time‐management and organisational skills
Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Adaptable availability
Interest in early years education
Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)
Certificate of completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform
Proof of immunisation against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Whooping Cough (Pertussis) – or be willing to receive
