Customer Service / Contact Centre Operator – Newcastle
Location: Newcastle
Start: 25 September ****
End: 24 March ****
Pay: $***** per hour + Super
Hours: 35 hours per week
Roster: Rotating shifts between 6am–10pm, Monday to Sunday, including weekends and public holidays.
APG Workforce is seeking 12 Customer Service / Contact Centre Operators to join a NSW Government contact centre in Newcastle.
The Role
Handle high-volume inbound customer enquiries
Provide accurate information, advice and assistance
Resolve enquiries or upscale complex matters where required
Update customer records and databases accurately
Deliver professional and positive customer experiences
Complete general administrative and processing tasks
Work collaboratively within a fast-paced contact centre environment
About You
2–3 years' customer service experience in call centre,



administration, retail or similar
Previous office-based experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
Intermediate computer skills
Proficient in Outlook, Teams and Microsoft Office
Ability to learn new systems quickly

Previous government experience is desirable but not essential
Successful candidates must be available for full time training and nesting before transitioning to their regular roster.
Hybrid working may become available following training and competency assessment; however, it is not guaranteed and is subject to business requirements.
