WesTrac's Mt Thorley Rebuilds Workshop is seeking experiencedHeavy Diesel Mechanics and Mobile Plant Mechanicsto join our highly skilled team delivering complete Caterpillar machine rebuilds.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a modern workshop environment where you'll be involved in the full rebuild lifecycle of some of the mining industry's largest and most advanced equipment.

From $*****/hr+ (incl. allowances) + OT from $*****/hr
12.5hr day & night shifts | 5 weeks annual leave - work only half the year on a Lifestyle roster!
Workshop-based CAT rebuilds | up-to-date facility | stable, experienced team
What You'll Do
Perform major rebuilds and overhauls on Caterpillar mining and construction equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and powertrain systems
Remove, inspect, repair and refit major machine components
Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting throughout the rebuild process
Complete quality inspections and testing to OEM standards
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
Collaborate with supervisors and fellow tradespeople to achieve production targets and delivery schedules
What You'll Bring
Australian recognised Trade Qualification in:Heavy Diesel Fitting
Mobile Plant Technology
Plant Mechanics
Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
Or equivalent mechanical trade
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience working on heavy mobile equipment,



mining equipment, earthmoving machinery or heavy vehicles
Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
Highly Regarded
Previous rebuild or overhaul experience
Mining industry exposure
Hydraulic and powertrain troubleshooting capability
