Hunter Sports Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader Trampoline & Tumbling to join our growing Trampoline Centre of Excellence in Lake Macquarie, NSW.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced trampoline coach to play a key leadership role within one of Australia's premier trampoline facilities, supporting athletes from recreational participation through to high performance pathways, part time or full-time opportunity available to suitable candidates

About the Role:
Reporting to the
Sports Development Officer – Trampoline
, the Team Leader Trampoline & Tumbling will provide leadership across recreational, development, and competitive trampoline programs.
The role combines coaching, athlete development, staff mentoring, program coordination, and operational support to ensure outstanding participant experiences and athlete outcomes.
Our objectives are to:
Provide community access to athletics and gymnastics programs and activities.
Contribute to the local economy through sports tourism.
Provide and maintain world class sporting and ancillary facilities.
Meet the needs of local residents through offering community focused activities,
sport specific programs and services to support high performing athletes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality trampoline and tumbling programs across all participation levels
Coach athletes within recreational, development, and competitive streams
Lead approximately ***** hours of face-to-face coaching per week
Support athlete progression and talent identification pathways
Supervise, mentor, and develop coaching staff
Assist with competition preparation, entries, travel, and event delivery
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
Ensure compliance with child-safe standards, WHS requirements, and risk management processes
Engage with athletes, families, schools, and external stakeholders
Assist with facility operations, equipment management, and program administration
Support Hunter Sports Centre gymnastics and holiday programs when required
Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the Trampoline Centre of Excellence.
About You
You are an energetic and experienced trampoline coach who enjoys working with athletes and developing the next generation of coaches. You are organised, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality programs.
To be considered for this role you will need a background and demonstrated experience of coaching a broad range of participants. You will have strong technical skills, a solid understanding of trampoline gymnastics and a commitment to safe progressive learning.
You will have the capacity to work independently and as a part of a team. You will have a passion for trampoline gymnastics, the ability to coordinate responsibilities simultaneously with initiative and a willingness to learn.
Essential Requirements
Gymnastics Australia Trampoline Coaching Accreditation
Minimum Advanced Trampoline & Tumbling qualification (or willingness to progress)
Demonstrated coaching and athlete development experience
Strong understanding of child-safe practices and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Current Senior First Aid Certificate
Current NSW Working With Children Check
Current Class C Driver Licence.
Desirable
Experience mentoring or supervising coaches
Knowledge of Gymnastics Australia pathways and frameworks
Administration and reporting experience
Trampoline Judging Accreditation or willingness to obtain.
Hours of Work:
The nature of this position will require work times and hours to meet the needs of the organisation including weekends, evenings, and split shifts. This will be discussed in greater detail during the interview process.
