Occupational Therapist – Part time Hybrid | Pathway to OT Service Lead
Rediscover Physio – Coolum Beach, Sunshine Coast QLD
Part-time: approximately 2 days per week, with opportunity to grow
$45–$56 per hour + super + OT profit share

Rediscover Physio is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary allied health clinic in Coolum Beach.
This is more than a standard part-time caseload role.
You will step into an established service with existing clients, upcoming assessments, active referral relationships and administrative support—while having the opportunity to help shape its future direction.
The role would suit an experienced OT who has considered establishing or growing a service of their own but would value beginning with:
An established starting caseload
Existing NDIS, aged-care and community relationships
Upcoming functional and home assessments
Clinic rooms and administrative support
Internal referrals from our physiotherapy and exercise physiology team
Marketing and business-development support
A pathway to become Rediscover's OT Service Lead
Performance-based OT service profit sharing as the service grows
The role
You will initially work approximately two days per week, with flexibility around how those hours are structured.
The position is hybrid, combining work from our Coolum Beach clinic, community and home-based appointments, and suitable report writing or administrative work from home.
Your initial caseload may include:
Adult and older-person occupational therapy
NDIS assessments and ongoing intervention
Functional Capacity Assessments
Home-safety and functional assessments
Falls prevention and maintaining independence at home




Cognitive and neurological rehabilitation
Selected paediatric and emotional-regulation clients, where aligned with your experience and interests
You will manage your own clinical caseload independently while contributing ideas and expertise to the ongoing development of Rediscover's OT service.
There is no immediate requirement to manage other staff.
As demand and the OT team grow, there will be an opportunity to progress into a formal OT Service Lead position with expanded leadership, service-development and profit‐sharing responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
Deliver evidence-based, person‐centred occupational therapy
Complete functional, home‐safety and capacity assessments
Prepare clear, high‐quality clinical reports
Manage ongoing NDIS, aged‐care and private clients
Communicate effectively with families, referrers and support teams
Maintain timely clinical notes and documentation
Contribute to developing referral relationships and service opportunities
Help shape future clinical projects, including cognitive rehabilitation
Work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team
About you
Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
At least two years of occupational therapy experience
The confidence to work independently
Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and report‐writing skills
Experience with NDIS, adult rehabilitation, aged care,



community OT or functional assessment
An interest in developing services and professional relationships
Excellent communication and time‐management skills
A current driver's licence and access to a suitable vehicle
Relevant screening checks, or willingness to obtain them
Experience completing Functional Capacity Assessments would be highly regarded.
Cognitive rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, home modifications or paediatric experience would also be valuable but is not required across every area.
