This part time role is with a well-established organisation operating in the building and construction sector.
As a medium-sized organisation, we are focused on delivering quality projects, on time and budget and pride ourselves on happy and repeat clientele in the Toowoomba and Greater Region.
As a growing and expanding enterprise this role is a newly created position to help support the Financial Controller to service the business and it's departments to meet ever expanding financial and commercial objectives and compliance.
Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Officer role would ideally be based in Toowoomba.
Core responsibilities include:
End to end Accounts Payable
Maintain accurate records in accounting system
Review, report and maintain Accounts Payable Tax coding to assist preparation of BAS
Credit Card reconciliations and expense re-imbursements
Manage Bunnings and Fuel Card Accounts
Review, report and maintain TPAR records
Review and Maintain Tools and Asset Registers
Reconciliations and general bookkeeping tasks
Assist with month end processes as needed
Assist in collation and preparation of ad hoc information, filing and record keeping
Ensure compliance with all relevant internal processes
Profile
A successful candidate should have:




Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping and/or Accounts Payable experience is required
A relevant certificate in Accounting or working towards (but not essential).
Demonstrated ability to work with financial systems and software (ERP System and advantage but not essential).
Enjoy working with numbers, take pride in their work and be reliable
Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to problem solve
Solid understanding of delegations of authority and value confidentiality
Australian citizenship is required for this position
