Senior Café Cook / Café Supervisor
About the role
Bli Bli Watersports is looking for an experienced, hands-onSenior Café Cook / Café Supervisorto join our team.
We're looking for someone who cancook confidently in a busy café environment while also stepping up to lead the team and run the café when our Café Manager is not on site.
Our Café Manager works three days per week, so this is a great opportunity for an experienced hospitality person who enjoys being hands-on but is also ready to take responsibility and keep things running smoothly.
You'll work acrosscooking, food preparation, service and coffee, while also directing staff, managing stock and keeping the café organised during busy periods.
What you'll be doing
Preparing, cooking and serving quality café food
Running the café when our Café Manager is not on site
Leading and directing café staff throughout the day
Keeping service organised and efficient during busy periods
Managing food preparation, stock, ordering and restocking
Overseeing opening and closing procedures
Maintaining high food safety, cleanliness and presentation standards
Jumping across the kitchen, service area and coffee machine as needed
Taking initiative and identifying what needs to be done
What we're looking for




Strong hands-on café cooking experience is essential.
You don't need to be a qualified chef, but you do need to be a confident and experienced cook who knows their way around a commercial café kitchen and can handle a busy service.
We're looking for someone with:
Several years' experience in a busy café, kitchen or similar hospitality workplace
Strong cooking and food preparation skills
Previous experience leading or supervising a hospitality team
Confidence to take charge and make decisions
Strong organisation and time-management skills
Good food safety and hygiene knowledge
A proactive, reliable and hands-on attitude
Weekend availability
Experience as aCafé Cook, Chef, Café Manager, Kitchen Supervisor or experienced Café All-Rounderwould be highly regarded.
About Bli Bli Watersports
Bli Bli Watersports is a busy Sunshine Coast recreational facility, home to our Wake Park, Aqua Park and Barra Fishing Park.
Our café can get extremely busy, particularly on weekends, school holidays and throughout summer.
We have a great team and are looking for an experienced person who cancome in, take ownership and help us keep building a café we're proud of.
