Job Description
QFS Solutions is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our growing team.
We are ideally looking for candidates with experience in landfill gas and leachate collection systems, civil pipe laying, HDPE welding, or environmental infrastructure construction.
However, we also welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to build a long-term career within this specialised industry.
Position Type
Casual employment with regular ongoing work available.
Opportunity to transition to a permanent full time position following the successful completion of a six (6) month probation period.
Ongoing employment will be based on performance, attendance, reliability, and compliance with company and client requirements.
About QFS Solutions
QFS Solutions is a specialist contractor operating within the waste management and environmental infrastructure sectors.
We deliver projects across Australia, specialising in landfill construction, landfill gas extraction systems, leachate collection systems, rehabilitation works, environmental controls, and ongoing asset maintenance.
This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands‐on experience across all stages of landfill development while working alongside skilled and experienced industry professionals.
The successful applicant will be involved in:
Trenching, installation, and backfilling of HDPE pipelines
Electrofusion and butt welding of HDPE pipe systems
Operating machinery, including excavators and Posi‐tracks
Installing, servicing, and maintaining pumps
Manual labour and material handling
Reading and interpreting plans and drawings
Following installation procedures and project specifications
Working safely in accordance with SWMS and JSEAs
Setting up and using laser levels to achieve design grades
Travelling and working away from home when required




Construction White Card
Current Driver's Licence
Previous site‐based construction experience

Excavator RIIMPO320F
Bobcat / Posi-Track RIIMPO318F
HDPE Electrofusion and Butt Welding PMBWELD320E & PMBWELD301E
Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (RIIWHS202E)
Gas Test Atmospheres (MSMWHS217)
Licence to Perform Dogging (CPCCLDG****)
HR or HC Truck Licence
Experience operating GPS and laser levelling equipment
Previous experience in civil construction, landfill construction, environmental infrastructure, or pipeline installation
Experience installing landfill gas extraction systems and leachate collection infrastructure
Experience reading and interpreting construction plans and engineering drawings
Experience operating excavators, loaders, rollers, and other civil construction plant
Ability and willingness to travel and work away from home as required
Hours of Work and Travel Requirements
Standard hours are 38 hours per week.
Overtime, weekend work, public holiday work, and extended hours may be required to meet operational and project requirements.
Employees may be required to work on rostered projects both within Queensland and interstate.
Rosters may vary depending on project requirements and can include extended periods working away from home.
Accommodation, travel arrangements, and applicable Living Away from Home Allowance (LAHA) will be provided on eligible projects in accordance with company policy.




Roster schedules and project requirements will be communicated in advance wherever reasonably practicable.
