Proactive Maintenance and Engineering is a well-established company located in Sumner, specialising in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, building and servicing.
We are seeking a qualified Senior Boilermaker who is self-motivated, conscientious, well-presented and has strong communication skills to join our expanding team.
The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, alongside other tradesmen and under the direction of our Workshop Supervisor. You will need to be willing to undertake overtime when required, as well as occasional site work.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (Heavy Fabrication)
Mig welding experience in medium and heavy-gauge fabrication - Essential
Tig welding experience with stainless steel and aluminum fabrication - Desireable
Experience working in a fast-paced workshop environment.
High attention to detail and ability to read & interperate technical drawings.
Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring equipment
Ability to accurately measure,
mark out, cut, fit and weld components
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to work independently and take pride in the quality of your work
