Electrician needed to check old switchboard – Grovedale
Specific Job Details:
Residential or Commercial: This is a residential job
Looking for a licensed electrician to check an old switchboard in Grovedale, preferably on the weekend.
One of the 32A breakers has burnt out, and some of the old fuse holders also seem to be getting quite hot.
I’ve already had an electrician look at it, but they only wanted to replace the whole switchboard. Before doing that, I’d like someone to check what actually caused the overheating and see if the existing board can be safely repaired.
Mainly looking for someone experienced with older switchboards, fault finding and repairs, not just switchboard replacement.
Happy to pay for the inspection/fault finding. Please let me know your availability and approximate cost.
