The roleYour key responsibilities as Senior Assessment Officer,Complaints Directorate, will include:
Leadingthe Compliance Assessment Team in its assessment of complaints in a veryhigh-volume and complex environment.
Mentoring,developing and supporting staff.
Undertakingassessments of complex and/or sensitive complaints to determine whatregulatory action, if any,
Building Commission NSW should take in response.
Reviewassessment recommendations of team members and make assessment decisionsunder delegation on compliance or regulatory issues.
Workingclosely with the Senior Coordinator Compliance and Manager Compliance to maintainand update policies, procedures and other controls to improve theefficiency and effectiveness of the complaints-function.
Workcollaboratively in the Complaints Directorate and across BuildingCommission NSW, delivering effective outcomes for the people of NSW andcontributing to a positive work culture.
Key attributesTo succeed as Senior Assessment Officer – ComplaintsDirectorate, you will:
Havedemonstrated experience in using complaint and/or intelligence data tomake determinations of possible breaches in a regulatory complianceenvironment.
Beexperienced in supervising a team or teams in a high-volume and complex environment.
Haveexcellent analytical skills, problem solving skills, and good judgement.
Havewell developed communication skills, including the ability to write,review and produce high quality reports and other documentation in atimely manner.
Actwith the highest degree of integrity and professionalism.
Holda Certificate IV in Government Investigations or have similar workexperience and be prepared to acquire the qualification.
Abilityand willingness to travel across NSW if required.
To be appointed into the role, you will be required tosuccessfully clear and maintain:
Ifrequired, medical capacity screening regarding physical and psychologicalimpacts of the inherent duties of the role
Salary Grade ****, with the base salary for this role startingat $116,981 base plus superannuation
