The PTSD Recovery Centre is a new centre in Sydney dedicated to helping people recover from the effects of trauma.
We are at the beginning of an exciting journey.
Our vision is to create a centre where people affected by trauma can access high-quality, evidence-based psychological treatment in an environment specifically designed around trauma recovery.
We are looking for an experienced Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist who shares this vision and wants to be part of building the centre as it grows.
This isn't simply an opportunity to join another private practice.
It is an opportunity to be part of the early stages of creating a dedicated trauma service.
About the role
This is a contractor position for 2 days per week – Monday and Tuesday.
You will work primarily with adults experiencing trauma-related difficulties, including PTSD and complex trauma, providing evidence-based trauma-focused psychological treatment.
You will have the opportunity to work within a practice that has a strong focus on clinical quality, professional integrity and genuine client care.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
Is an experienced Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist
Has substantial experience working with trauma and PTSD
Is trained and experienced in EMDR
Has a strong understanding of trauma-informed and evidence-based psychological treatment
Is committed to providing high-quality, ethical and compassionate clinical care
Is professional, reliable and takes pride in their work




Is committed to ongoing professional development and clinical learning
Values collaboration, clinical discussion and sharing knowledge
Is able to work independently and manage a clinical caseload
Has a genuine passion for helping people recover from trauma
Is available to provide sessions in the office every week
Experience working with WorkCover clients is highly desirable.

Remuneration
This is a contractor position with an attractive fee split, providing you with the flexibility and autonomy of private practice while having the support of an established practice infrastructure.
The practice provides the rooms, administration, bookings, billing, client communication and practice systems.
We currently have robust demand for trauma-focused services, providing an opportunity to build a caseload relatively quickly.
We are looking for someone who is interested in building a long-term professional relationship with the centre as it grows.
