Process Trainer - Gold Processing | 8/6 Roster Experienced gold processing professional wanted to train, coach and develop processing operators.
8/6 roster, 12-hour day shifts in North Queensland.
Process Trainer - Gold Processing Sabre Engineering is seeking an experienced Process Trainer to support a gold processing operation in North Queensland.
Working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster with 12-hour day shifts, this is an opportunity for an experienced processing professional to use their operational knowledge to train, coach and develop people across the Processing team.
We're particularly interested in candidates with hands-on gold processing experience who understand the realities of working in an operational plant environment.
You don't necessarily need to currently hold the title of Process Trainer.
If you're an experienced Process Technician, Senior Process Technician, Control Room Operator, Leading Hand or Processing Supervisor who has trained, coached or mentored operators and you're ready to move into a dedicated training role, we want to hear from you.
About the Role This is a practical, site-based position focused on developing the knowledge, skills and capability of processing personnel.
You'll work closely with operators and the wider Processing team, using your plant experience to support people in becoming safer, more capable and more confident in their roles.
The role will involve:
Providing practical, hands-on training and coaching to Process Technicians and plant operators
Supporting the development of new and existing processing personnel
Sharing operational knowledge and best practice across the Processing team
Coaching personnel across day-to-day plant operations and safe work practices
Helping operators build their understanding of plant processes and equipment
Supporting new starters as they develop familiarity with the processing plant
Identifying areas where additional coaching or development may be required
Working closely with Processing Supervisors and other operational personnel
Reinforcing safe, consistent and effective operating practices
Supporting a positive culture around safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who brings strong hands-on processing experience, with gold processing experience particularly important for this position.
Your plant exposure may include areas such as:
Crushing and conveying
Grinding and milling
CIL or CIP circuits
Leaching
Carbon handling
Elution
Electrowinning
Reagent systems
Thickening and tailings
Control room and SCADA operations
Plant start-ups and shutdowns
Isolations and safe work procedures
Process troubleshooting and plant optimisation
You don't need experience across every area listed above.
What matters is that you bring credible operational experience from a gold processing environment and can effectively pass that knowledge onto others.
About You You're an experienced processing professional who enjoys working with people and sharing what you've learned on the plant.
You'll be able to communicate with operators at different levels of experience and explain plant operations in a practical, easy-to-understand way.
You'll ideally bring:
Strong hands-on mineral processing experience
Gold processing plant experience
Previous experience training, coaching or mentoring operators
A practical understanding of processing plant operations and equipment
Strong safety awareness
Good communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively with operators, supervisors and technical personnel
A practical approach to problem solving and plant operations
A genuine interest in developing people and improving team capability
Previous experience as a Process Trainer, Senior Process Technician, Leading Hand, Control Room Operator or Processing Supervisor will be highly regarded.
