We are ideallying looking for an early stage teacher who has studied a foreign language or linguistics. We are willing to put in the effort to training you, but we are looking for someone who is young, enthusiastic and wants to learn.

We require that all teachers hold the relevant qualifications to teach, and have a passion for language teaching. We keep admin requirements for teachers at a minimum to let you focus on preparing and deliverying the best possible classes. We don't have complicated computer systems and our skilled staff can help you with the printer.

Native proficiency in English (not from India, our students can't understand the accent)

Desired Qualities
NEAS recognised qualification in TESOL (CELTA, Master of TESOL etc)
Bachelor Degree
Bachelor, Diploma or Masters in Applied Linguistics or Education
Previous ELICOS teaching experience




Proficiency in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)

General Responsibilities
Prepare lesson plans with energetic activities designed to engage and inspire students
Focus on supporting and assisting students taking into account students’ individual learner differences and learning styles wherever possible
Keep a record of content and activities completed in the class in the teaching records
Keep accurate records of students’ attendance and punctuality in accordance with the ESOS Act
Maintain a clean personal appearance and dress in smart casual
Bring in original games and ideas to the class
Organise and run excursions in a responsible manner
Report and problems with students progression
Undertake suitable training and stay up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and resources.
Attend and participate in teachers meetings as required
Refer students to other staff such as student services or the Director of Studies when the student has questions/problems that are beyond your expertise or knowledge

Job Type: Casual

Pay: Up to $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 20.0 per week
