Billings and Systems / Patient Accounts Clerk

About the Role
We are looking for aBillings & System - Patient Accounts Clerkto join our team on aPermanent Full-Timebasis.
This role is based at our Clayfield Support Office, conveniently located close to public transport with free street parking available.
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team of eight, with access to comprehensive onsite training and work across a roster Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Run weekly reports detailing outstanding accounts
Target outstanding accounts to be balanced no longer than 90 days from the date of service
Conduct audits, liaise with debtors (Work Cover, hospitals, DVA, sporting teams, health funds and private patients), correct payments and item numbers, and create payment plans as appropriate
Prepare reports to be included in Board reporting outlining outstanding debtors, refunds and write off
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in medical administration, patient accounts, or similar, excellent customer service skills, and be a whizz when it comes to organisation and time management.
You will also have:
Sound computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel skills
High-level administrative and word processing skills




Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to ensure privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of patients
Radiology Billing knowledge is highly desirable
Previous experience working in the healthcare industry
