Your current role
The Instructional Designer is responsible for developing a CertificateIV in Community Development with a focus on domestic,familyand sexualviolence (DFSV) work.
The course will be delivered to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who work in services supporting families impacted by domestic, family and sexual violence or who wish to work in the domestic, family and sexual violence sector.
This role works with the Project Manager,
the Academic Team and Course Steering Group and must:
Attend meetings of the Course Steering Group
Attend meetings of the Academic Course Development Team
Use approved course structure to develop the course
Work with Subject Matter Experts and Content Developers
Use existing learning materials in the development of the course (including manuals, videos, policies & procedures)
Work with Project Manager to design and develop for the target audience:
learner manuals
course content videos
supplementary materials
assessments
Consult regularly with the Course Steering Group
Participate in pre-delivery validation of all course materials
Work with Project Manager (Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Project) and Digital Learning Officer to build the course in the SMS and LMS
What you will need to succeed
Advanced instructional design skills and experience
Experience with eLearning Authoring Tools
Experience with video editing and production
Experience with development of nationally recognised training courses
Advanced experience with an LMS (Moodle) or similar
Ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
Clear and accurate written and verbal communication
High level of organisation
Ability to work with other team members
