The Opportunity
Help maintain the infrastructure that keeps Noosa moving.
As part of a dedicated maintenance team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring roads, pathways, drainage networks, and public assets remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
You'll identify defects, prioritise maintenance works, and contribute to delivering reliable infrastructure that supports our community every day.

Position Remuneration - LGEA Level 5 + CWA
$74,346 base annual salary
$84,388 Total Remuneration Package which is based on a full time employee and inclusive of 12% Employer superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading.

About You
You're a practical and safety-focused professional with experience in civil construction, maintenance or asset inspections.
You have a keen eye for detail, enjoy working outdoors and can confidently assess asset conditions, investigate issues and make sound recommendations.
With strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service, you take pride in delivering positive outcomes for the community.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect roads, pathways, drainage and other infrastructure assets, identifying and assessing defects and hazards
Prioritise maintenance and rectification works and create work orders in accordance with Council service levels
Maintain accurate inspection records and asset information within Council systems
Respond to customer requests, investigate asset-related issues and assist with infrastructure condition assessments
Essential Skills and Experience
Experience and competence in operating plant, equipment and tools
Experience in civil construction, maintenance activities or infrastructure asset inspections
Knowledge of road, pathway, bridge and drainage asset maintenance practices
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assess asset defects and maintenance requirements
Experience using mobile devices, asset management systems or field-based inspection technology
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Qualifications, Training and Licences
Certificate III in Civil Construction or a related technical qualification, or extensive relevant experience
Backhoe Operator competency
Skid Steer Loader Operator Competency
Excavator Operator Competency
Roller Operator Competency
Construction Industry White Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
Current HR Class driver licence
