Freight Forwarding and Operations Officer

We are an Australian-owned Freight Forwarder and Customs Brokerage with over 22 years of business in the industry.
About the Role
This role involves end-to-end import and export operations, covering Sea Freight (LCL & FCL) and Airfreight.
You will be a key point of contact for clients, overseas agents, and service providers, ensuring smooth and productive shipment handling.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the shipments (Sea & Air) from the booking to the final delivery
Arrange bookings with shipping lines, airlines and overseas agents
Coordinate operations, customs clearance, transport, and final delivery to clients
Provide exceptional customer service and proactive shipment communication
Monitor shipment progress and update tracking/status reports
Respond to queries from overseas agents, suppliers, and clients




Support the sales and forwarding team as required
Operate daily functions using CargoWise
Skills & Experience
3 + years' experience within the freightforwarding/logisticsindustry
Proven experience in import and export air & sea operations
Strong customer service background in freight forwarding
Familiarity and working knowledge of CargoWise
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and overseas agents
Reliable, hard-working, and a strong team player
