About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team at our Thornton workshop.
The role involves a combination of workshop based duties and site work across local and interstate projects.
You will work on a variety of equipment, including light vehicles, excavation equipment, hydraulic systems and OEM machinery.
The successful applicant must be available to travel and work away from home on project-specific rosters.
Pay Rate:
The role will see you starting at $*****/hr for a full time role or casual $*****/hr plus allowances for site based work and the ability to earn more through a higher classification from our Enterprise Agreement.
About You:
Relevant Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience




Proven ability to work independently and within a team on site
General engineering workshop experience will be seen favourably
Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Experience with light vehicles, excavation equipment, hydraulics, and OEM gear
Experience with general industrial and mine site construction practices
Adherence to safety protocols and procedures
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
Must be locally based in the Newcastle/Hunter Region
Must be able to travel to site for extended periods when needed including regional NSW, QLD, NT, SA and TAS.
