Essence Early Learning is seeking a passionate and dedicated Trainee Educator to join our team in North Mackay.
This is a part-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to begin or advance your career in early childhood education.
As a Trainee Educator, you will work under the guidance of experienced educators to support the development, learning and wellbeing of children in our care.
This role is essential to creating a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their potential.
What you'll be doing
Supporting experienced educators in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences and activities
Assisting with the daily care routines including meals, hygiene, rest time and transitions between activities
Observing and documenting children's learning and development to contribute to individual learning portfolios
Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues in a collaborative team environment
Contributing to the maintenance of a safe, clean and welcoming learning environment
Supporting inclusive practices and responding to the individual needs, interests and abilities of all children
Assisting with supervision and engagement of children during indoor and outdoor play experiences
Following all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children
Engaging in professional development and reflecting on practice to develop knowledge and skills
What we're looking for
A relevant qualification or commitment to obtaining a qualification in early childhood education or childcare (such as Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent)




A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
A commitment to maintaining the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children
Reliability, punctuality and a flexible approach to part-time work
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Current Working with Children clearance or willingness to obtain one
A First Aid qualification or willingness to complete one
