As a Senior Development Planner, you will mentor and support other planners while providing high-level professional and technical advice on development, property and land use matters.
Working in a fast-paced setting, you will assess complex development applications, coordinate major projects and represent Council in planning forums to deliver sustainable outcomes for the community.
You will play a key role in building team capability, providing quality customer service and helping shape the future growth of the Central Coast.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A degree qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline, providing a strong foundation in planning principles, legislation and development assessment.
Demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar planning role, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and legislative changes.
Membership of, or eligibility for membership of, the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).
A current Class C Driver's Licence.




The commencing salary for this position is up to ($110,******).
Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of ($128,******) on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
We have a Temporary (2 years) permanent full-time role available until June ****
This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite.
This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.
A vehicle allowance of $****** per week is available for this position.
