Double R is seekingaTradespersons Assistantto join theHunter Valley'sdynamic and engaged team.
This is a full time, workshop-based position working Monday to Friday, with overtime available.
You will work alongside qualified tradespeople, providing practical assistance with workshop activities, equipment preparation and general labouring duties.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands‐on work and wants to develop their experience in a supportive workshop environment.
Key responsibilities:
Assisting qualified tradespeople with workshop activities, maintenance and repairs
Performing general labouring and technical support tasks under supervision
Preparing, cleaning and organising tools, parts, equipment and work areas
Collecting and distributing parts, supplies, equipment and stores as directed
Maintaining company vehicles, tools and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition
Completing job cards,



timesheets and required safety documentation accurately
Conducting pre‐start checks and following secure work procedures
Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, near misses and equipment defects
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
Performing other duties within your skills and capabilities to support the workshop team
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Good mechanical aptitude and an interest in machinery or equipment
Previous experience in a heavy fabrication workshop, with blasting and painting experience although this is not essential
A current Class C driver's licence
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
A reliable, organised and proactive approach to work
The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
The ability to work independently when required
A willingness to learn and undertake further training
EWP ticket
