Job Description
SPITWATER has been building tough, high-performance cleaning equipment in Australia since ****.
From our Australian manufacturing facility through to our national service network, we back our equipment for the long haul.
Our customers rely on SPITWATER equipment to get serious work done, so when something needs servicing or repairing, getting them back up and running matters.
We're growing our Brisbane service team and are looking for two hands-on Service Technicians to join us at our Rocklea Service Centre.
About the Role
This isn't a role where you'll be stuck doing the same thing every day.
You'll work across both our Brisbane workshop and customer sites, servicing, diagnosing and repairing SPITWATER pressure cleaners and other equipment.
Depending on your experience, you may initially spend more time in the workshop learning our equipment, systems and service standards.
As your product knowledge and confidence grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on more field service work and work directly with customers on site.
Our field customers rely heavily on our technicians to keep their equipment running, so flexibility is important.
At times, you may also help cover field service when another technician is away or when customer demand requires additional support.
We'll give you the technical training and support to build your capability rather than expecting you to know every SPITWATER machine from day one.
What You'll Be Doing
Servicing, maintaining and repairing SPITWATER equipment in our Rocklea workshop and at customer sites
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pump,

engine and equipment faults
Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
Completing field service call-outs as your experience and capability develop
Helping keep important customer equipment operating and reducing downtime
Preparing and testing equipment before it goes back to customers
Assisting with new equipment installations and commissioning where required
Explaining faults, repairs and recommendations clearly to customers
Recording labour, parts used and service information accurately
Working safely in our workshop and on customer sites
Supporting the wider service team when workloads or customer priorities change
About You
We're looking for practical people who enjoy pulling things apart, working out what's wrong and getting them running properly again.
You might already be an experienced service technician or you may come from a mechanical, automotive, small engine, electrical, equipment hire, agricultural or similar technical background.
What matters most is that you're mechanically minded, willing to learn and take pride in doing a job properly.
You'll ideally bring:
Mechanical, electrical or technical service experience
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

Experience repairing machinery, engines, pumps or similar equipment
A restricted electrical licence would be highly regarded
A willingness to work both in the workshop and out in the field
Confidence dealing directly with customers
Good organisation and attention to detail
A practical, hands-on approach
A forklift licence would be useful but isn't essential
You'll also need to be comfortable working independently once trained while knowing when to ask the wider team for technical support.
What We Offer
A permanent, full-time position
Competitive remuneration based on experience
Structured product and technical training
Support from experienced technicians and our national technical team
Exposure to both workshop and field service work
The opportunity to build your skills and take on greater field responsibility as you develop
High-quality Australian-made equipment to work on
A varied role across different machines, faults and customer environments
A stable career with an established Australian business that has been supporting customers for more than 40 years
Most importantly, you'll be part of a team that understands positive service isn't just about repairing a machine.
It's about getting the customer back to work.
Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with full working rights in Australia.
You will be required to meet SPITWATER's pre-employment requirements, which include a pre-employment physical assessment and drug and alcohol testing.
