Job Description
Lead a high-performing team in a hands-on operational leadership role

What you will do:
As the Assistant Park Manager, you will work closely with the Park Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the park.
With a strong focus on grounds and maintenance, you'll help maintain high standards across the property while supporting all areas of the business as needed.
Working alongside the Grounds & Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities, future planning, contractor management and asset improvement projects, while also remaining hands-on with daily grounds and maintenance tasks.
This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with rolling up their sleeves and getting the job done.
You will also:
Support the day-to-day operations of the park, ensuring everything runs like clockwork
Help create memorable guest experiences and maintain a beautifully presented park




Lead, coach and motivate team members across all areas of the business
Assist with rostering and workforce planning to keep operations running seamlessly
Support asset management, including preventative maintenance and site presentation
Assist in monitoring financial performance, including labour and operating costs
Contribute to park upgrades, projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Help track and drive key business performance metrics
Champion a robust safety culture for guests, visitors and your team
Assist with recruitment, onboarding and development of team members
Liaise with the Park Manager regarding significant maintenance issues, repairs and additional projects
This is a rewarding and diverse role where no two days are the same.As you will share responsibility of the after-hours phone with the Park Manager, the successful candidate must either:
Live within 5-10 minutes of the park; or
Reside in onsite staff accommodation (available for the right candidate).
What you will bring:
We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing operational leadership with hands-on maintenance and grounds work.
You may currently be a Grounds & Maintenance Supervisor, Facilities Manager, Assistant Manager or Department Head looking to take the next step into a broader leadership role.
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within grounds, maintenance, facilities, tourism, hospitality or a similar operational environment
Current NSW Working With Children Check(Mandatory)
Strong organisational and planning skills,



with the ability to prioritise competing demands and coordinate multiple projects
A genuine passion for guest experience and creating memorable stays
The ability to lead from the front and build strong, positive team culture
Experience supporting operations with Grounds & Maintenance (highly regarded)
A hands-on, can-do mindset and willingness to get involved wherever needed
Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders
Commercial awareness and an understanding of what drives operational success
Flexibility, energy and a team-first attitude
