Talent Internationalis currently recruitingOperational Contract Officerto work for theNSW Government,based inMilsons point & Parramatta.This is a contracttill end of Dec, with the possibility of extension,paying between$330 to $500 per day + Super.
Start Date: ASAP
Working arrangement:
Tuesday and Wednesday: Milsons Point
Monday and Friday: Work from home
About the role
A current emergency team has been established to respond to the fuel price crisis and its impact on contractors and suppliers across NSW.
The team is responsible for processing and validating fuel surcharge claims across approximately ***** panels and contracts.
This is a high-volume, fast-paced role with a significant backlog, suited to an intermediate-level contract administration professional who can learn quickly and work independently.
Key responsibilities
Support the preparation and coordination of operational contract activities.
Review contract-related information and liaise with service providers to obtain accurate and timely documentation.
Assist with the review, signing and return of contracts.
Provide advice, information and reports to contract managers, including emerging trends, forecasts and risks.
Participate in meetings with service providers and internal stakeholders.




Maintain accurate contract records, documentation and systems throughout procurement and transition phases.
Draft correspondence and responses for transport service providers and internal business areas.
Identify opportunities to improve contract processes and support implementation of efficiencies.
About you
You will ideally have:
Previous contract administration or contractual experience.
Experience processing claims and applying eligibility or validation criteria.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume work.
A proactive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Government experience is desirable but not essential.
Relevant qualifications, such as an associate diploma or certificate qualification, supported by relevant experience.
Experience with the following systems is desirable:
SAP - claim checking, processing and receipting
Excel - including pivot tables and intermediate to advanced functions
Objective - document management
CM21 - contract management
Training and onboarding will be provided.
Direct fuel surcharge experience is not required, as this is a relatively new process.
