Disability Support Worker - Community Based

At K's Support Services, we believe our support workers are one of our greatest assets.
We're a small but growing NDIS provider and we're looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our supportive and professional team.
As a Disability Support Worker, you'll provide dependable, person-centred support to NDIS participants in their homes and out in the community.
This role offers a fantastic chance for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people build independence, participate in their community and achieve their goals.

Cessnock & surrounding areas
Muswellbrook & surrounding areas
Port Stephens & surrounding areas
Key responsibilities
Support participants with community access and participation
Provide in-home support
Support participants to attend appointments and activities
Assist with daily living and household tasks
Transport participants to community activities and appointments
Complete clear and accurate progress notes
Follow individual support plans and uphold organisational values
Build positive and respectful relationships with participants and their families
Support independence, choice and personal goals
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
Caring, compassionate and respectful
Reliable and punctual
Confident working independently and as part of a team




Professional and able to maintain appropriate boundaries
Comfortable supporting people in their homes and within the community
Flexible and willing to work across a range of shifts
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid & CPR
Australian driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
Relevant disability support experience or qualifications (desirable)
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (desirable)
Experience with manual handling and assistive equipment (desirable)
