We are seeking a compassionate and dedicatedCasual Disability Support Workerto join the team at Recruit, Connect & Care.
This is acasual positionoffering flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
As a Casual Disability Support Worker, you will provide essential support to clients, helping them maintain independence, develop life skills and participate fully in their communities.
This role is crucial to our mission of delivering quality, person-centred care and support services.
What you'll be doing
Assisting clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing and meal preparation
Supporting clients to access community facilities, social activities and recreational opportunities
Helping clients develop and maintain life and social skills through structured support and encouragement
Providing emotional support and companionship whilst maintaining professional boundaries
Assisting with household management tasks, including cleaning, shopping and errands
Monitoring and reporting on clients' wellbeing, health and any changes in their condition
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of support provided and client progress
Working collaboratively with other team members and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, coordinated care
Respecting client dignity, privacy and rights in all interactions and support provision
Adhering to all health and safety protocols, policies and procedures
What we're looking for
A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and commitment to person-centred care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
Physical capability to assist clients with mobility and daily activities, including manual handling where required
Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to manage a flexible, casual schedule
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a supportive environment
A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) and clear police clearance
Current first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain these qualifications)
Empathy, patience and a non-judgmental approach to supporting people from diverse backgrounds
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to individual client needs and changing circumstances
Relevant qualifications in disability support, aged care or health services (preferred but not essential; training will be provided)
