We’re looking for a Team Leader to manage a team ofDesktop Home Assessors,responsible for assessing and managing home insurance claims end-to-end using virtual tools.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll manage a team and a portfolio of home insurance claims from lodgement through to settlement, using desktop assessment tools and expert reports to determine scope, cost and repair outcomes.

You’ll be responsible for:
Providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to a team of claims professionals
Monitoring team performance, workloads, SLAs and claims outcomes to ensure service standards are consistently met
Coaching and mentoring team members, providing feedback and supporting their technical and professional development




Escalating complex or high-risk claims and providing technical guidance on appropriate claims outcomes
Conducting desktop assessments of property damage using virtual tools and supplier reports
Determining cause of damage, policy coverage and appropriate repair methods
Working closely with builders, suppliers, repairers and internal claims teams

About You

You’ll bring a practical, hands‑on understanding of building or construction and be comfortable working in a fast‑paced claims environment.

You’ll have:
Strong Team leadership experienceandqualities
Experience in Insurance building, estimating, restoration, construction, or insurance assessing (trade background highly regarded)
Solid understanding of residential building practices and repair methods
Ability to interpret scopes, quotes and technical reports
Solid attention to detail and sound decision‑making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
A customer‑first mindset with resilience and empathy
