We're looking for anExperienced Civil Supervisorto lead civil plumbing and underground infrastructure projects throughout Southeast Queensland.
About the role
You will coordinate site crews, plan daily activities and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the required standard.
Reporting to and working closely with the Operations Manager, you will lead civil plumbing and underground infrastructure projects throughout Southeast Queensland.
Key responsibilities
Working closely with the Operations Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver projects
Providing regular updates to the Operations Manager on project progress, labour requirements, materials, delays and site issues
Supervising civil construction and pipelaying crews
Planning and coordinating daily site activities
Managing the installation of sewer, stormwater and water infrastructure
Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and service plans
Ensuring pipelines, pits and manholes are installed to the correct line, level and grade
Coordinating workers, subcontractors, machinery, materials and deliveries
Conducting pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and site inspections
Monitoring productivity, workmanship and project progress
About you
Minimum 5 years' experience supervising civil construction or civil plumbing projects
Strong experience with sewer,
stormwater and water infrastructure
Experience delivering council, subdivision or utility infrastructure projects
A sound understanding of trenching, shoring, bedding, backfilling and compaction
The ability to read construction drawings and work accurately to levels and grades
Experience coordinating civil crews, subcontractors and plant
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the Operations Manager
The ability to plan work, manage priorities and keep projects moving
A current Construction White Card
The following would be highly regarded:
Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction
Confined Space Entry qualification
Trenching and shoring experience
Dogging or basic rigging qualifications
HR or higher-class driver licence
